In 1978, some damage was caused by Quailbrook, and a judgment was granted against Quailbrook in 1982 and affirmed in 1985. Busch first notified Royal of the suit in 1983, and Royal denied coverage for the untimely claim. Busch notified State Farm of its claim by serving the summons in this case in September 1983.
